I ate a bag of Skittles yesterday as an afternoon snack, and a thought occurred to me: "Love is when you don't eat the green Skittle 'cuz you know it's your partner's favorite." Haha. It was cute. I had to share.
Last night I had a dream that something terrible happened to Nick. Couldn't remember what exactly happened, just that it was something bad. So this morning, even though it was silly, I had to call him to see if he was ok. He thought I was goofy.
Soooo ... you know those little Starbucks After-Coffee Mints? I got a new pack the other day, and discovered they've changed the box design! The new box design is very cute and futuristic looking, but it also kinda looks like a Zippo. People are going to think I'm a smoker! Blech.
Speaking of smokers, something I've always wondered ... do smokers date smokers? Do people ever really bridge the gap between smokers and non-smokers and have a mixed relationship? Cuz when I talk to guys who smoke, they like or tend to go for girls who smoke too. But most non-smokers don't really like smokers. Hmm.

My two new phobias: Old people driving and yellow lights. (As a result of my accident, not because of the following story.)
There was a story today that was all over the news. An 88-year-old man drove his car in the Farmer's market at 60mph in Santa Monica. Killed 8 people, 35 injured. Eighty-eight? Wow, some people can't even walk at that age, and this guy was still driving around. You know, they need to pass some sort of legislation that prohibits people from driving after a certain age, or make it more restrictive.
Yesterday was my halfi-versary with Nick. We've been together a year and a half now. Awww ...
Have to go now. Need to work on Nick's bday present so I can send it out tomorrow. :D

This weekend I went to the mall and shopped ALL DAY for a birthday present for Nick, but I didn't find anything I liked. I found something that I decided I wouldn't mind getting him, which was American Pie and American Pie 2, but it was only a backup plan because it seemed so impersonal a gift to give. I was only considering it because he told me a long time ago he really, really wanted the set. But anyway, I decided not to buy it at the mall because I wanted to see if I could get it off Amazon for cheaper. It was a good thing too! I found out later that night (while I was talking to him and trying to be all subtle about it) that he'd already bought the set. Humph. So ... I am getting him something else. (I can't write it here because he sometimes reads my blog.)
I had an awesome conversation with Nick on Saturday night! It was so great! Not even because we talked about serious stuff, but because we talked for a really long time, and the converstion kept coming! It was like we couldn't stop talking! It was awesome!
At lunch today, boss boss told me and our group of co-workers who eat together about how he once had a girlfriend who LOVED to bake, and she filled up THREE cabinets of his kitchen with baking supplies. She used to bake whenever she got stressed or angry. She was also an insomniac, so he'd wake up the next morning to all these freshly baked goods because she'd been up all night baking. It was the most hilarious story ever! Everyone was like, "Wow, that's so cool! Fresh baked stuff every morning when you wake up!" And he was like, "Yeah, it was great, but then it was too easy to get fat!"
