Who would have known?! Walgreens stock is worth more than Pfizer stock. How'd THAT happen?! I thought for sure it'd be the other way around. Wow. And it turns out Walgreens is not a California thing, as I'd originally thought. It's in other states too! But I thought for sure Pfizer stock would be worth more because it's a gi-normous pharmaceutical company. Huh. Go figure.

Are generics just as good as name brands? I read somewhere that they might not be as good because they haven't done as much testing for them as name brands. Personally, i'm just worried about the quality control/quality assurance aspect of it. Hmm.

You know, I think I finally get what Mimi was saying about bebe being so chill about things and not understanding why she takes some things to heart. Like last night. Was telling Nick about something that really upset me yesterday, and he just turned to me with wide eyes and said all innocently, "Aww, why are you so mad about it? It's ok, it's no big deal ... Just don't get so upset over it; I'm sure it didn't mean anything." Grr! Like he didn't get it! Not even like he was trying to make me feel better, but just that he really didn't seem to understand why I would be upset over the thing I was upset over. Huh. It was strange. I guess guys just work differently. They don't take things to heart as easily, I guess.

Left AIM internship work early. It was so boring. I couldn't stand to stay any longer. I don't think it's going to work out. At least I have another internship set up with ADA, so I'll just add more hours to that one instead of working two internships. Lalala.

The big question: Should I go back to MEH work in my spare time? I've kinda got to make some money ....

Finally emailed my cover letter and resume out to some companies today. Hehe. I'm such a slacker. I want to get paid for my internship, but I don't know if that is going to happen. Companies like to say "college credit only" as one of their reqs. Which, you know, is not a problem since I'm already enrolled in an internship class, but I really can't afford to be working for free; I've got to eat somehow!

Watched White Oleander last night, and it struck me just how hauntingly beautiful Michelle Pfeiffer is. It's not a very ... welcoming, warm beauty like Kate Hudson or Audrey Hepburn. It's a creepy kind of beauty. I think it's the eyes, since they're so big and light-colored. *shrug* Well, anyways ... the movie was not very impressive. Some things are not explained very well in the movie, and you're left going, "Huh?" Maybe I am just one of those stupid movie-watchers that needs everything all spelled out for me so I can understand it. I thought the actress that played the daughter was really pretty, but not too solid with the acting. She does a lot of scenes where she just stands there and looks meaningfully at the camera or whatever like you're just supposed to understand things completely from seeing her look. Ehhhhhh???? Definitely a psychological film. All about how mother traumatizes her daughter and messes up her life.

Went to class and found out the bookstore stocked all the wrong books for one class I have. Ehh?? How'd that happen? Everyone in the class looked at the syllabus and was like, "Hey, these are not the books the bookstore told us to buy for this class!" The professor was dumbfounded that they'd ordered the books he'd used last semester instead of the new books he'd requested for this semester. Dude. Someone needs to figure out where this whole deal went to crap. Now I need to find my receipt and go return my books. Argh. On the trail of a missing receipt ...

Damn. I think I broke my rice cooker. I was putting it down, and apparently, I didn't set all the legs up on the counter. So it fell over onto the kitchen floor with an AWFUL sound. Now the little lever thing won't stay down on "Cook." Sigh.

Yesterday Pisey and I drove all the way out far and ate pho (Vietnamese food) for lunch. Ahh. Good stuff. I'm so excited. I have someone to go Asian food-eating with! Hehe. I mean, Nick is pretty cool about it, but sometimes I just get really nervous introducing him to certain things. Kind of like he'll start thinking I'm really weird or something as a result. But Pisey knows what I'm talking about when I talk about Asian food! Yay!

Dude, power to Campbells' soups. Tonight I made this really good pasta with cream of mushroom soup as the base for the sauce. I added all sorts of spices and extra stuff to it! It was so easy! :) Yum, yum.

Sat at the table for APO today during the Involvement Fair. Got SERIOUSLY sunburnt on my shoulders because I put my hair up out of the way with a clip. I'm all red as a beet right now. Sucks ass. Skin is also tender. Boo! >:( I even got a little sunburnt across my cheeks too. Grr. grr.
