Last night, I baked a pound cake for Nick's homecoming later today before I went to bed. I think that thing has to be pretty fattening. It has two sticks of butter and six whole eggs in it. But it made the apartment smell so good while I was baking it! And I thought to myself, Can things ever actually SMELL like they're bad for you? I fell asleep inhaling some serious pound cake fumes.

I found out that going to see "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton" during our Girls' Night Out on Friday is not possible, since it comes out in the 23rd. Boo!! It looks like it's such a cute movie! Ok, admittedly, it also looks really stupid and lame and like it's such a bad movie, but it also looks really cute!

I have eaten pizza for my last three meals. I ordered two pizzas for myself (so I could have leftovers) on Tuesday night, and then I've been eating pizza ever since. It's way cheaper to feed just myself instead of having to worry about feeding Nick too. *jokingly* He's so high maintenance that he won't even eat the same type of meal two days in a row. (i.e. pasta for dinner two nights in a row ... even if they're completely different types of pasta and were each freshly cooked on the day of consumption)

Been working all day every day this week. It's pretty boring, but I've got some serious bills to pay off at the end of this month. Too much Christmas shopping, I guess. Which reminds me: Meems, go pay off your Express bill!

Today I snuck home while I was supposed to be at work and mopped the linoleum floors in our apartment again. Just to be thorough.

I went to the bookstore to buy my textbooks yesterday, and you know what I discovered? Even though all of my books were supposed to be used books, two of them showed up as new books at the register after they scanned the bar code! *gasp* I ended up saving at least $10 because I caught it! Isn't that so sneaky? I mean, you think you're paying for used books because they say they're used, but then they show up as new books in the computer! I have no idea how much money I've lost over the years because I didn't check to see if the prices that popped up in the computer were correct.

I'm so excited! Tuesday night TV tonight!!!! I finally get to watch "Gilmore Girls"! I'm sort of pissed that APO meetings got moved to Tuesday nights because I was looking forward to watching Tuesday night TV again, since I couldn't last semester because I had a class Tuesday nights. Boo!!!

Back at school. Whoopee!

Man, this place needs some cleaning up! You know what I noticed today when I came home? We have three or four light bulbs burnt out in various lights around the house. (It's not exactly dire because they're from lights that have 2+ light bulbs. So if one is burnt out, there is still another functional one.) Everything's so much darker than at home home.

I watched "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" tonight on NBC. It was so funny! The straight guy they were trying to make over was so clueless, and the gay guys just kept making fun of him. Oh man. I couldn't stop laughing. There was this one part where they're interviewing the gf, and she says, "Allen ... He's great ... I love him ... but ... he could work on the cleanliness part." Then one of the gay guys took him to a hair place to get his hair done, and the woman washing his hair was all, "Do you use conditioner? You have very dry hair." The straight guy replied, "Conditioner? Is that what you use the make your hair ... not dry? I never knew that!" Meanwhile, the gay guy just sat there trying not to laugh at him.
