Have you ever had kimchi fried rice? Oh my goodness, it is great. If you like kimchi and spicy food, that is. I couldn't eat a lot because it was really, really spicy, and my tongue was totally burning, but it was good. But if you don't like kimchi or spicy food, I'd say stay away.
My grad school application is done! Finished! Turned in! Whoopeee! Now, all that is left is the wait ... Dum da dum da!
j posted this at 7:25 PM. I have been working with so much chocolate today that the smell of chocolate is a little bit sickening. I can't even go into the kitchen right now to put the stuff away, since the kitchen smells like chocolate. Blech.
I'm totally craving beef jerky right now. *drool*
Damn it! I'm really angry at myself right now. There was a career fair today on campus, and I forgot to go. I was totally talking about it to Eva last night and was going to print out my resumes this morning and traipse on over to the career fair. Instead, I hung around the apartment the whole morning making thin mint cookies, and then, when it was 2:00, realized that I'd forgotten all about the stupid career fair! Argh! By then, it was too late! Gahh! I feel so stupid and irresponsible! How am I supposed to look for a job like this?! At least I have cookies to show for it. Argh. Lots of expletives. Lots.
I went to El Cholo last night for the first time in all the time I've been here. It was such great food! And, because we went on a weeknight and had our student IDs, our meal was 50% off! We got a $20 meal for $10. Ahhh ... good times. I only ate about a fourth of my meal, and I'm eating the rest of it today for lunch. What a great deal! They also give you yummy salsa and chips when you sit down at your table. The only complaint I have is that parking is terrible. But then, it's LA, so I guess it's to be expected.
j posted this at 12:37 PM. I am, for the first time in three semesters, skipping an APO meeting tonight. And not even for good reason! Just because I don't feel like going. Wow, I hadn't realized that I haven't skipped a meeting in such a long while. Hehe.
j posted this at 4:20 PM. Check out what my sister gave me! She made it in Ceramics. I think it took a loooooong time because she said she had a hard time glazing it. She's mad because she says it looks like a Cheshire Cat instead of a Fortune Cat, but whatever. I still think it's cool.
Yesterday I went to the mall and bought a formal dress that used to be $150, but was being sold at the discount price of $20. That totally made my day. A woman who must have been shopping for her daughter glared at me while I was looking through the rack. I guess she wanted the dresses I was holding in my hands. Oh, well. Hee.
What's up with this stupid blog for one of my classes? Ack. Class Blog. Like there isn't already enough to do.
Last week I worked 19.1 hours. Whoo! I'm looking forward to a big paycheck! (how sad that I don't even care about the work I do; just the money I get paid.)
