I'm wondering why in the world my TV does not have a headphone jack. It's so weird. I mean, I don't really listen to my TV really loud anyway, so it's not like I'm largely disturbing my roommates, but I thought all TV's had a headphone jack. But mine does not. How weird is that?!

Went to dim sum with Meems. Going clubbing later tonight for the first time in four years, so I'm kind of looking forward to it. This would be like ... the third time I've ever gone clubbing. Nick was not going to come, but he might come now that Eva told him last night all these scandalous stories of guys trying to dance with girls. If he finishes his take-home midterm first. Hehe.

So I was in this huge intersection today, making a protected left turn, and the car in front of me was turning really slow. So slow, in fact, that the left turn arrow went red, and we were STILL in the intersection. And not only that, but it got even SLOWER when completing its turning. It was really, really scary because cars going the opposite direction started honking at us (because we were literally in middle of the intersection and not moving). Some cars even started going, so my car was totally perpendicular to oncoming traffic. And all the time, the car in front of me is slowly idling along. I'm not sure if it broke down or something, but my urgent honking for it to hurry up and MOVE did not do any good, so I am assuming there was something wrong with it. Or the driver was being a serious jackass. Either way, I totally thought I was going to be in a car accident today because of that car leaving me in the middle of that intersection. I was really, really scared when I saw cars start coming toward me, and I totally laid into my horn, as did several other cars. Luckily, I was able to maneuver around the offending car and drive off safely. But the person didn't even turn on emergency lights or anything for his car, so I totally didn't know what was going on. Gahh.

Ok, so check these shoes out! They look super cute and I want a pair. But my question is, are you supposed to wear socks with these?! People, please leave your thoughts on this matter, as it will affect my buying decision. Hehe.

I'm at work alone right now, which is always a rather blissful thing because it is quiet and no one is around to bother me. I've done a little job-hunting today, and I've just finished rewriting my cover letter. I will need to proof-read it again later on paper to see that there isn't an error that I missed.

I decided I've waited long enough for that letter, and I really need to start my job search now, even though I have not yet received the letter. I need to make sure all my bases are covered.

Whoa. Four-eared kitten needs home.

Today was good. Got to see Meems and talked for a long time about stuff. I think being around her is good for my spirit. It's like every time she comes home and we go out and talk about what's been going on, I feel like a great weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I think being away from her is something I really missed out on by choosing to go to a different school. But I also think that I appreciate her a whole lot more when we have a chance to hang out together.

These last couple of days have been sort of strange in that some things have gone exceedingly well, but then other things that also happen during the day have made me really, really angry. Not even angry in the sense that oh, I'm miffed, but not taking it too hard. Really and truly angry. Like, somewhat irrationally so. *sigh* Who knows why? I just thought it's an odd mixture, given that there have actually been good things happening too, so it's not even like I'm having a bad day or something.

Still waiting on that letter ...

The motto of the day shall be: "Bring it on, bitch!" I don't want to discuss why, but that is the most prominent phrase in my mind at the moment.

Today I got one of my midterms back (from a couple weeks ago), and unexpectedly, I received an A. Yowsers! Not only that, but our professor kept referring to my midterm; He even made me read a part of it out loud. It was all very embaressing, but flattering at the same time.

My printer is broken, really and truly. Before today, I held out hope that perhaps it was a software problem or that it was my computer being stupid. So when I had time today, I reinstalled the printer driver on my computer. That did not work. Then I unhooked the whole thing and took it over to Nick's, installed the printer driver into his computer, and my printer still refused to work. Why, oh why?! Printers hate me. Gahh. There's another hundred dollars down the drain. *hits forehead with palm of hand* I think I'm going to buy a new printer tomorrow or Wednesday when I get the chance. I can't just not have a printer. This is definitely the wrong semester for it to break, as I am in an art class where I need to be able to make color prints from home a lot. Gahh.

I made a valiant attempt to clean up my desk tonight when I had some spare time. I stopped mid-cleaning session, though, because I was bored and wanted to do something else. So now my desk is medium-clean. Hehe.

Gahh. This whole weekend at home was full of talk of Taiwanese politics. From the very moment I got home on Saturday, it was all related to Taiwanese politics. (Dad: We stayed up until six in the morning watching Chinese TV coverage of the election! Six in the morning!) Now there's some talk about either rebelling or recalling or protesting or something. (I'm not sure because all these things kind of translate to pretty much the same thing in Chinese.) My sister said that my mom told her the assassination attempt on the current president (and, incidentally, the candidate that won the election) was "just like JFK!" Hmm.

Moving on. I have two projects, a presentation, and a midterm this upcoming week. And of couse, I have done none of it over my Spring Break, so I shall be hauling butt to finish them this week. I shall attribute my non-worry about all this to my senioritis "not caring" stage. Because, seriously, I'm not all that concerned with this stuff. I need to get into grad school, find a job, find housing, etc. Gahh.

Meems is home this week! Yay! We'll probably go eat dim sum and sit in Starbucks for hours on end! Whee! (Or maybe she will finally take me clubbing with her! *gasp*)
