Today, Nick and I were wandering around campus when he saw his former roommate from freshman year. Since they saw each other at the same time, we couldn't just walk away quickly in the opposite direction pretending that we hadn't seen him. So the two of them did the hey-what's-up thing, blah blah blah, small talk. Then, since we were on campus to eat lunch, Nick was kinda like, "Well, we're going to eat lunch now, so see ya ..." Trying to get rid of him. Except he didn't leave. He basically followed us around campus for the next hour, from me shopping at some merchant booths set up in the park, to when we wandered around looking for something to drink, and then he sat with us while we ate our lunch. It was all very odd and disturbing. I mean, obviously, he was lonely and didn't have anything else to do, but it was weird that he followed us all over campus during our lunch break. No wonder Nick's current roommate thinks his former roommate is such a dork. Hehe. Poor guy. It was like Nick was his only friend in the world and he had to follow him around or be alone.

Today was sort of calm, compared to the big to-do yesterday after I got my acceptance letter. I was a little disturbed after I told my parents, because the first thing they said after "Congratulations!" was "How much is it going to cost?" Hmm. Kind of ruined the moment, if you ask me.
In other news, I am currently reading this book called Clara: The Early Years. It is very cute. It's about this pug Clara (told from the perspective of the author, her owner) and the things she does. The owner talk about how Clara instantly grabs attention when she enters a room and stuff; the whole story is about Clara's wacky, neurotic hijinks (like attacking HUGE dogs that are three times her size). I have only gotten through half of it, but so far, I would recommend this book to people who are up for a funny dog story that's fast to read. It's very light reading.
Today I saw this woman at work who was very well-dressed and realized that every other time I've ever seen her, she has always been well-dressed as well. Which led to me to asking myself, "Does she ever have any frumpy days?!" Goodness knows I have enough of those days! I enjoy sitting around the house all day in my pjs. They're so comfortable!

Wow. Ok, so today, I was walking home and talking to Nick on the phone. When I got to the front of the building, I opened my mailbox (I've been checking my mailbox obssessively the last two weeks) and stood there (still on the phone) squealing, "Ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod!" There was a big envelope smooshed in there with "Graduate Admissions" printed in the corner, addressed to me. A BIG envelope. Yay! I got into grad school! I'm so excited!
A funny thing, actually ... while I was standing in front of my mailbox squealing and doing a happy dance for like ... three minutes (I hadn't even made a move to take the envelope out), a guy was standing at the front door waiting for me to let him into the building. (I guess he forgot his keys or something.) Well, anyway, he must have thought I was extremely strange to be squealing at a piece of mail in my mailbox. Hehe.

Ok, so one of my guy friends keeps bugging me about baking with him. Which, frankly, is a little bit annoying. Baking with other people is a bit strange because it's like you gotta look out for them the whole time and make sure they're doing the right thing. It's different when you bake with someone who knows what they're doing. But if you bake with someone who's clueless (like this friend), then it's a big pain in the ass. But he keeps bugging me, so I finally said yes the other day to get him off my back. But seriously, I'm not really looking forward to this very much. And the thing is, he has no baking things at his place, so I don't even know how the hell I'm supposed to bake at his place because I'm not schlepping all my baking stuff over there. Gahh.
I went to Michael's with Sarah today. Craft stores are so fun! I found a book for plastic canvas projects, so I'm very excited to start making them. It has all these patterns for Pooh characters. And Mimi doesn't get anything because she told me she doesn't like Pooh characters! >:P

Clubbing last night was ok. It was fun, but people kept elbowing me and bumping into me, and it was seriously bringing up some of my aggressive tendencies. Like this one girl who kept bumping into me, then I moved out of her way, but then she moved too and was back to bumping me. Then I started bumping her back because it was annoying me that she totally was not getting the idea, and she just kept doing it! I had to fight back serious urges to turn around and SHOVE. Gahh. At least no one tried to molest me. Guys came by to try to dance with me, and I just told them no. I even tried dancing a little erratically so that guys wouldn't come try to dance with me. Which kind of worked, I guess, because I didn't get as many offers to dance as some of the other girls in our group. It's harder for guys to dance with you when you dance erratically because they can't match your rhythm. Haha.
I think, though, that I started out the night badly anyway, so that put me in a bad mood for the rest of the night. I got lost twice on my way driving there. By the time I finally arrived, I was really frustrated and afraid that I would have to pay the damn cover charge because I was late for the cut-off time. (Free before 10.) On top of that, I was upset about something that had happened earlier that evening, so I really wasn't in the mood for clubbing anymore. Gahh.
My hair smells like smoke. Gross!
