So, like, I think boys are very strange and exclusivist. Whenever I go out with my friends, other people (i.e. boyfriends) are invited as well ... sometimes it's just a given that Nick, Steve and other boyfriends of the group are included. I don't really know why that is; it just is. Everyone is welcome because when you're dating someone, you become part of the group (if we like you ... hehe). But boys ... they act like they're part of this secret society and shit, and only boys can go out together and blah blah blah. They always have to go off by themselves to do things. Well, piffle. I feel like we're back in grade school or something where the opposite sex "has cooties" and needs to be avoided at all costs.

And while we're on this subject, I don't understand why Nick's roommate is all adversarial and stuff toward me. Like we're vying for Nick's attention and stuff. (Yo, it is not my fault that you cannot find another drinking buddy to replace Nick!) Gahh. I am beginning to really dislike the guy. Thank God school is out in four weeks; maybe they will allow me to start moving into my new apartment early. Or maybe his roommate will move out early. *fingers crossed*

The water in our shower has, mysteriously, lost its ability to become hot. It was fine one day and terrible the next. WTF. Grr. I don't feel like taking cold showers until they can come by on Monday.

Got my teeth cleaned today. And (also mysteriously) my teeth hurt very badly right now. I don't understand why, since this has never happened to me before. But they seriously hurt every time I bite down hard on them. I was eating a piece of cake and had to stop because my teeth hurt so much. Gahh. Cake!

I'm very proud of myself. I made pound cake, caramel chex mix, and almond roca toffee. I also stuffed plastic Easter eggs tonight. Now everything is sitting in pretty little Easter themed goody bags on the dinner table. It is all very cute and coordinated. *sigh of happiness* I gave Shannon and Caroline some Easter goodies, and they were very excited and happy to be getting Easter goodies. It gave me warm fuzzies. *awww*

Last Thursday I went to watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and got motion-sick. Eek. The last two movies I have gone to have ended horribly in my getting motion-sick. I need to go watch some main-stream, steadily shot big-shot Hollywood movie instead of artsy/indie type of films like these two. No more hand-held, damn it!

In other news, when I went home this weekend, we decided to go to Walmart on Saturday. In the car on the way there, my mom asks me how I wash my face every day, and I'm like, "Uhhh ... water and my washcloth?" Then her and my dad were totally aghast that I don't use fancy face wash and stuff, and I tried explaining that I only wash my face with facial soap/cleanser when I have to remove makeup (which is not often) and that if I use face wash the rest of the time, my face feels really dry and tight. Besides, it's not like I have skin problems, so it's a very big deal. Really, it's not. The two of them were all like, "Well, that's bad for your skin; the water is very natural and good, but it might not get all the oil and dirt out. You should buy something when we get to Walmart." Gahh. So we get to Walmart, and when we arrive at the face wash aisle, my mom stands there with me scrutinizing all the bottles, bars, and cloths of face wash lined up on the shelves for like ... half an hour. Trying to figure out which one would be the best to buy for my "needs" and particular "skin predicaments." (Um, Mom, I don't have skin predicaments?!) Gahh. She told me she'd read that the brand Cetaphil made really good face wash, but I smelled it and was like, "No way ... this smells terrible!" (Besides, who the hell wants to wash their face with something called "Cetaphil"?! I mean, that is totally an unappealing name, and it makes me think that if I use it, I should be scrubbing up for surgery or something. It just sounds so sterile!) So we continued back down the aisle of face wash. She finally settled on a bottle of Olay face wash which was both non-expensive and did not smell so bad. Satisfied, she left me alone for the rest of our trip to Walmart. Sheesh. I don't understand why this was such a big deal. Thank God she didn't also want to help me find facial moisturizer too!

My Thought of the Day is that I shall invest in a toaster oven when I get my own place. YUM. Toasted bread products are great!

I think people who ride their bikes side by side on the sidewalk are jerks. I mean, they effectively block the sidewalk for the rest of us who walk. That's why it's called a sideWALK, not a sideRIDE.

OMG!!!!!!
These are so cute, and totally on my list of adorable Mary Jane sneakers that I would LOVE to have. But alas, after some intense research online, I discovered that not only do most places not carry my size, but the company that makes these shoes totally discontinued them! Why?! Oh, the cuteness! I don't understand why, since, from all accounts, these shoes sold very well and people were completely ga-ga over them. Wah!!!! I'm so sad! My search for MJ sneakers continues ...
